Bone-setting and Tuina
Yidao Gentle Bone-setting and Structural Bodywork
Study the Sanping Yizheng gentle bone-setting approach and build a practical framework spanning postural assessment, angle-based repositioning, postpartum rehabilitation, and facial contouring.
About This Course
Course Introduction
Yidao Gentle Bone-setting and Structural Bodywork is taught by Instructor Sun Yidao. Its central principle, Sanping Yizheng, emphasizes front-back, left-right, and internal-external balance together with structural alignment. Rather than forceful pulling or deliberately producing joint sounds, the course uses postural observation, palpation, angle-based repositioning, and guided traction to explain the relationships between sinews, bones, joints, and posture. Topics include the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine; limb joints; pelvic closure; postpartum rehabilitation; adolescent posture; and manual facial contouring. The course is intended for bone-setting and tuina practitioners, postpartum rehabilitation practitioners, physical therapists, wellness-business operators, and learners seeking systematic study of gentle bone-setting and postural adjustment.
Learn Step by Step
What You Will Learn
Learn basic assessment in gentle bone-setting, including posture observation, palpating relative spinous-process heights, judging muscle tension, and distinguishing sinew from bone injuries. Develop a learning sequence of locating malalignment, choosing a force angle, following the body's direction to apply traction and release, and restoring sinew-and-bone alignment.
You will also study manual approaches to atlantoaxial malalignment, upper-back prominence, stiff neck, thoracic concerns and rounded back, lumbar disc protrusion, bulging and vertebral slipping, sciatica, shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee and ankle joints, ankle sprains, tendon-sheath concerns, pelvic closure, pubic alignment, abdominal muscle separation, urinary leakage, apparent hip widening, adolescent scoliosis, and facial asymmetry. Traditional external plasters and service-development ideas accompany the course for subsequent application in service offerings.

Student Feedback
The course helped me understand that gentle bone-setting is about finding the angle and working with the movement, rather than using brute force.
Pelvic closure, apparent leg-length differences and posture adjustment are practical topics for services in a practice.
The course covers a lot, including the cervical and lumbar spine, postpartum topics, and the face. Building a framework first and then practicing repeatedly is helpful.
