Herbal Wines and Herbal Teas

About This Course
Course Introduction
Taught by Gao Yingli, Medicinal Wines and Herbal Teas covers topical medicinal wines, teas made from ingredients used as both food and medicine, constitution assessment and traditional approaches to common concerns. The wines use alcohol as a carrier for herbs, with a focus on dispelling wind and dampness, reducing swelling and pain, and relaxing sinews and opening channels. Herbal teas use light doses and carefully selected combinations for everyday wellness and chronic concerns. Topics include the cervical spine, shoulders, lumbar spine, sciatic nerve, gout, diabetes, hypertension, insomnia, spleen and stomach, damp-heat, phlegm-dampness, blood stasis, yang deficiency, yin deficiency and qi deficiency. The course is intended both for personal study and for expanding services in a practice.

Student Feedback
Herbal wines and teas are taught separately, making it easy to understand which are intended for external use and which for everyday regulation.
The constitution-based tea formulas are practical. I can organize notes by phlegm-dampness, damp-heat, yang deficiency, and similar categories.
Herbal wines and teas are familiar to clients. The course helped me plan those services more clearly.
