About This Course
Course Introduction
Tongyuan Qiqiao Gentle-Balance Method is taught by Instructor Zhang Kang. Beginning with bone-palpation observation and understanding manual techniques, the materials introduce soft force, yielding force, borrowed force, and short-range force. Foundational topics include sinew-bone theory, the six TCM arts, three sinew stretches, and regional topics covering the neck and shoulders, spine, lower back, and pelvis, presenting the course structure progressively.
The three-day outline starts with foundational theory and three sinew-stretching methods, then the neck and shoulders. Day two continues with yizhichan, spine and lumbopelvic topics, followed by knees and live practice on day three. Use this to organize theory and body-region topics, and bring questions about observation and movements to class. Actual joint and spinal techniques require appropriate professional supervision.
