About This Course

Course Introduction

Wuyi Dandao Bigu Practice is taught by Liu Hebin and covers martial-medicine culture, Dandao bigu, moving exercises, seated stillness, and lying-down recovery practices. The course emphasizes that bigu is not simply 'not eating': it involves coordinated qi practice, moving and still exercises, and lifestyle management within safe, structured training. Centered on integrating martial and medical traditions, Dandao wellness, and joint mind–body practice, it discusses bodily responses during bigu, qi-and-blood movement, daily routines, and resuming food. It is intended for traditional-wellness enthusiasts, mind–body learners, health-management practitioners, and those seeking to improve lifestyle and bodily condition through structured training.

Learn Step by Step

What You Will Learn

  • Explore Wuyi Dandao Bigu Practice's basic concepts, preparation before bigu, precautions during practice, management of resuming food, and observation of bodily responses. Nine movement practices are covered: arm-swing warm-up, expelling the old and drawing in the new, tapping the eight hollows, standing to gather light, shaking heaven and earth, tapping the dragon pillar, strengthening the root and restoring yang, seven-step breathing, and heng-ha wellness practice.

  • You will also study seated stillness practice for replenishing energy and lying practice for relaxation and recovery, while exploring relationships between emotions, sleep, metabolism, weight management, and physical sensations during bigu training. The course develops a complete pathway: practice – bigu – observation – return to eating – everyday care.
